In the year 2012, the 20th year of its existence, RIGK GmbH is keeping the fees for its customers constant. Despite the current high level of fuel prices and an inflation rate of more than 2 %, users of the recovery systems for industrial and commercial plastic packaging pay the same fees as in 2011: for example 69 or 85 euros per tonne for PE- and PP-plastic sheet sacks, as classified by categories 1 to 6; 175 euro per tonne for combined packaging and 155 euros per tonne for bigbags. The licence fee for rigid packaging – depending on the filled product – is between 99 and 159 euros per tonne (see table 1).
The fees in the RIGK-G-SYSTEM for the recovery of plastic packaging of hazardous products (table 2) will likewise remain unchanged as will the annual fees for small quantities in both the RIGK- and the RIGK-G-SYSTEM. The GHS hazard symbols, which have been mandatory for pure compounds since December 2010 and will become mandatory for mixed substances as from June 2015, may be used in parallel to the hazard symbols of the German Gefahrstoffverordnung (Ordinance on Hazardous Substances) (see table 3).
Markus Dambeck, CEO of the Wiesbaden company founded by the industry for the industry, rates the business performance as very satisfactory: “We are delighted about the further rise in the quantities notified in the last 12 months as well as the increased return, both in the RIGK- and in the RIGK-G-SYSTEM. In the anniversary year 2012, we will maintain the proven high quality of our services, develop existing cooperation and push ahead with acquiring further licensees of the trademark.”
