RIGK's activities in the matter of the “recovery of packaging material” are not limited to the German market. By founding RIGK Romania (S.C. RIGK S.R.L.) in 2008, RIGK's service and know-how are now also available in the Eastern European market.
With the help of the SCAPA-SYSTEM, which is operated by RIGK Romania in cooperation with the Romanian Crop Protection Industry Association AIPROM, farmers have the opportunity to return their clean and completely empty crop protection packaging to selected collection points free of charge. Thus the empty packaging ends up in an environmentally friendly energetic recycling process.
SCAPA is Romanian. It is not only an acronym for “Sistemul de Colectare a Ambalajelor de Pesticide al AIRPOM”, but also means something like “get rid of it” or “dump it”. SCAPA is a system for the recovery of packaging material made of plastics, metal and paper. Since its introduction, SCAPA has become firmly established in Romania and a well-known brand among local farmers.
