The PAMIRA trademark and PAMIRA SEED DRESSINGS

The PAckMIttel-Rücknahme Agrar (Packaging Recovery Agriculture) (PAMIRA®) is an initiative by RIGK and the Industrieverband Agrar (Industrial Association of Agriculture) e. V. for the responsible and controlled recovery and recycling of empty used agricultural pesticide packaging.

Seed dressing packaging from 50 litres in volume upwards represents a special case as it cannot generally be technically rinsed. In contrast to the smaller packaging which can be completely emptied, such as those accepted for the PAMIRA-SYSTEM packaging, it has to be treated as packaging for hazardous substances. Through PAMIRA SEED DRESSINGS, you are therefore able to hand in empty used packaging once a year on a special collection date - free of charge and nationwide.

The costs for collection, logistics and recycling of the packaging are borne by the producers of plant protection products on a voluntary basis. The collection points are special waste operations from the recycling industry.  

Which packaging is returnable?

You can return all seed dressing packaging bearing PAMIRA trademark from 50 to 200 litres at the PAMIRA SEED DRESSINGS collection points.

Which packaging is returnable?

The PAMIRA SEED DRESSINGS recovery date takes place annually in spring. In order to participate, you must inform us in advance via report form of the number of vessels which you wish to hand in. On return, the following conditions must be fulfilled for reliable and environmental-friendly disposal and recycling of the packaging taken back:

• completely emptied, i.e. < 0.1% residual content
• the packages are stacked upright, the closure is on top and closed with the original closure, valid type approval (not older than five years)
• the dangerous goods label and UN number must be visible from the outside
• the packaging materials are clean on the outside

A fully completed return protocol must be enclosed with the packaging. (We will send you the return protocol by post).

During the delivery to the collection point, the transport provisions must be observed. The information on the free recovery possibility must take place in good time in a separate letter with the necessary forms prior to starting the recovery operation. After return of the report form we will inform you of a suitable return possibility.

Sustainable recycling

PAMIRA SEED DRESSINGS is, as part of PAMIRA-SYSTEM, a simple solution for the reliable, environmentally-friendly and sustainable disposal of empty seed dressing packaging – and it works! After successful acceptance, the collection packaging is recycled energetically, in order to generate electricity, steam and district heating.
