The German Packaging Act (VerpackG) obliges manufacturers and distributors of packed products (in selling packaging, transport packaging and secondary packaging) to take back used packaging generated at industrial and commercial final consumers as waste, free of charge.

By taking part in the RIGK industrial and commercial take-back systems, not only will users of these signs meet their legal obligation as per the German Packaging Act, they will also make a valuable contribution to environmental protection. Because taking back packaging actively conserves existing primary resources and demonstrably contributes to climate protection.

With this new sign participating companies can easily and concisely prove to their customers and the public that they meet the producers’ responsibility as per the German Packaging Act and act both conscientiously and sustainably.
