30. September 2025
Three intensive trade fair days are behind RIGK GmbH and its subsidiary plastship GmbH: From 23 to 25 September, the companies presented themselves at FACHPACK 2025 in Nuremberg as reliable partners for sustainable packaging solutions, circular systems and digital innovations. The conclusion: strong interest, valuable insights, and a clear mandate to jointly drive the plastics circular economy forward within the industry.
One of the main focal points at the RIGK stand was the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which is currently a priority for many businesses. Numerous discussions centred around the implementation of extended producer responsibilities, compliance documentation, and practical pathways to meet future requirements.
With the newly established PACKLIANCE GmbH (in formation), a solution was presented that supports companies across Europe in the safe implementation of the PPWR – from consultancy and authorised representatives through to the compliance process.
“The response to PACKLIANCE shows just how strong the demand is for clear and practical structures in order to implement the new rules efficiently and in full legal conformity,” emphasised Maria Hentze, Business Director at PACKLIANCE.
In addition to regulatory issues, RIGK’s established services were in the spotlight:
Take-back systems and packaging licensing – legally compliant and customer-focused
Certification through PlastCert – tested quality and transparency
Tailored disposal concepts for industry and commerce
plastship complemented the portfolio with its digital approaches:
AI-based flow optimisation within the KISS project
Filterable material database with over 2,500 data sets
Transparent material qualification for the safe use of recyclates
“The combination of decades of experience in take-back systems and our digital solutions at plastship has been a real added value for our visitors,” said Andreas Bastian, Managing Director of plastship.
The trade fair team from RIGK, plastship and PACKLIANCE recorded high visitor numbers across all three days. Exchanges with customers, partners and industry colleagues were marked by genuine interest and concrete discussions on circular economy, sustainability and regulatory requirements.
“We are taking away many valuable conversations and new contacts – and we feel confirmed in our mission to holistically support companies on their transformation towards a circular economy,” summarised Jan Bauer, Managing Director of RIGK.
FACHPACK 2025 was a great success for RIGK and plastship – both in terms of content and in direct dialogue with the industry. Visitor feedback made it clear: there is a strong and growing need for practical, reliable and future-proof solutions.
With the establishment of PACKLIANCE by RIGK, KBS and GVÖ, as well as the ongoing development of digital solutions and the expansion of its own take-back systems, RIGK and its group partners see themselves well equipped to guide companies through the next steps.
“The fair has shown us: the challenges are real – but so is the willingness to tackle them together. That is precisely what motivates us to consistently pursue our path,” concluded the team.
